Learning Expedition PV Utility Scale of Omexom in Lisbon

Omexom held another learning program, the Learning Expedition PV Utility Scale, on May 21, 22 and 23 at the Lumen hotel in Lisbon. This event promoted the exchange of Omexom's knowledge and expertise at an international level.

The solar PV sector is dynamic and constantly evolving, with new markets, technologies, innovative business models that require continuous learning. Aware of this reality, Omexom brought together participants with different levels of experience in the solar PV business, providing a unique opportunity to share knowledge, foster growth and add value to each country’s business.

    The event was held over three days, with an agenda full of activities and presentations, and was attended by 34 colleagues, from 14 countries.

From the Portuguese team, on the first day, we had the presence of Paulo Ramos (Project Operations Manager), Edmundo Lopes (Project Manager), Bruno Freire (Project Manager) and Pedro Sousa (Project Manager), who shared the lessons learned throughout the projects developed in Portugal and presented the visit to the Montemor-O-Novo Solar Park.

On the second day, Gonçalo Sampaio (Managing Director) and Luís Silva (Business Unit General Manager) shared the history of Omexom Renewables in Portugal, how it was born, its journey and the exchange of experiences within the network.

On the third day, the entire team had the privilege of visiting the solar park in Montemor-O-Novo, whose great project “The Green Container” was awarded the Energy Transition Award.

There was also a presentation by Cátia Margarido (Head of Environment at Vinci Energies Portugal) who shared ideas on the themes of Environment and Sustainability.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to discuss and explore successful strategies, identify productivity challenges and find solutions together, while expanding their network. This initiative reflects Omexom’s commitment to being at the forefront of innovation and sustainability in the solar energy sector, promoting energy efficiency and the development of sustainable solutions.
